During the run of our Pterosaurs exhibit, Colorado State University held a contest for its design students to make a dress that mimicked the elaborate displays of the pterosaurs themselves. The winning piece found a spot in the FCMoD collection. In December 2016, I worked with the museum’s exhibits manager and the special collections curator to put the dress on display. The exhibit’s location required preparation, so I installed a set of lights into the wall above the display case. After locking down the case’s plexiglass panels, we adjusted the lighting accordingly.
