FCMoD’s cafe area hosts several temporary photography exhibits throughout the year. In October 2016, I participated in one of my first projects, Wild x Wild. The piece consisted of numerous framed wildlife photographs taken by a motion-sensitive camera. The camera itself was mounted on the wall near the photos. My main contribution to this exhibit was the decorative tree and plant imagery that accentuated the piece. I printed my Adobe Illustrator drawing into a large vinyl sticker and carefully mounted it onto the wall.

In February 2017, I disassembled Wild x Wild and replaced it with a smaller photograph exhibit composed of 22 archival images of Fort Collins in the 1950s. Unlike the previous piece, I mounted The Fort in the ’50s entirely by myself. I had to repair and repaint the wall and carefully measure out the location of each photo before hanging them. The labels and the vinyl title sign soon followed. The Fort in the ’50s was admittedly a simple project to undertake, but was helpful practice for more precise picture exhibits in the future.
